Welcome to Flyer Central

Our website allows us to process flyer requests in an electronic format, saving paper and time but still reaching a broad audience for these events.  No materials from any profit making organizations will be distributed to students in any format.

 

Flyer Submission Guidelines

Forms should be submitted electronically and directed to superintendent@anthonywayneschools.org

Each flyer must include:  Contact Name, Email and Phone Number.  Please be sure to include the desired date of posting and the date that the event ends.  Please supply a brief description/title of your flyer which includes the following information: Who, What, When, Where and Why for your event.  Flyers may be submitted any time but will ONLY be posted once a week.  In order for us to help you promote your event, please plan accordingly.

Requests to building personnel will be directed to the central office for consideration of approval.   ALL flyers must be pre-approved by the superintendent.

The Waterville Historical Society will be repeating their successful Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, October 25 from 5-7:00 pm. Take a walk from Third Street east on Farnsworth Rd. and be directed down a spooky alley that leads to our River Road campus where you will be greeted with ghost stories around a campfire, a boneyard full of spines, Halloween games, and a creepy couple named Sargent reincarnated for this one evening.

Join Anthony Wayne Community YMCA for Teen Fitness Club every Tuesday from 3:30- 4:30pm. This club is for youth members ages 10-16 that want to use the tness center and improve their health.

A series of workshops designed to teach you strategies to cope with some of the challenging behaviors and issues associated with having a child or adult on the autism spectrum.

Welcome to the wonderful world of ice skating at the Slater Family Ice Arena! From Figure Skating and Youth Hockey to simply learning the basics for the first time, there is a program designed for you. Programming transitions from basic instruction to joining local organizations focused on developing the ice sport of your choice.

Everyone is welcome at the Calvary Fall Carnival on Saturday, October 20th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Church located at 1360 Conant Street in Maumee.  There will be candy, food trucks, hay rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, prizes, and more!

BGSU is offering life guard training classes at the BGSU Rec Center this fall.

The Spirit of Sierah Run- Live, Laugh, Love Every Day 5K is October 20th and will be held at Ice Industries.  The race starts at 3 pm and will have a 5k and kids fun run.  We are encouraging everyone to get into the “Spirit of Sierah: and wear their favorite Halloween costume.  Right after the kids fun run we will have a trick or treating event where the kiddos can go from table to table and get candy and goodies.   Funds raised by this event will be going towards educating Ohio on Sierah’s Law as well as empowering our youth on self-awareness and self-defense.

Evolving Minds Youth Center at the The First Presbyterian Church of Waterville located at 611 Farnsworth Road is offering FREE TUTORING on Wednesday evenings beginning November 7th Weekly sessions run from 5pm ~ 6pm

Tutors are current and retired teachers, as well as select Anthony Wayne High School students. A certified teacher will be on site during the sessions to plan and monitor the tutoring.

STARS (Shining Teen Artists Renew Spirit) is a new ministry at St Joseph Church Maumee, and invites any teen who wishes to use his/her God-given artistic talents to serve God, and our community, to join.

    The YMCA sponsored Jr. Cavs Basketball League offers kids ages 3 - 11 the opportunity to learn what it takes to win both on and off the court.  Your child will learn the fundamentals of basketball while making friends.  First practice begins the week of October 22 with games being held 11/3/18 - 12/15/18.

     Toledo Volleyball club is forming an all boy volleyball team for the Toledo area for boys aged 14 and under.

    The Waterville Historical Society will be repeating their successful Halloween Spooktacular on Thursday, October 25 from 5-7:00 pm. Take a walk from Third Street east on Farnsworth Rd. and be directed down a spooky alley that leads to our River Road campus where you will be greeted with ghost stories around a campfire, a boneyard full of spines, Halloween games, and a creepy couple named Sargent reincarnated for this one evening.

    Welcome to the wonderful world of ice skating at the Slater Family Ice Arena! From Figure Skating and Youth Hockey to simply learning the basics for the first time, there is a program designed for you. Programming transitions from basic instruction to joining local organizations focused on developing the ice sport of your choice.

    Everyone is welcome at the Calvary Fall Carnival on Saturday, October 20th from 12:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the Calvary Church located at 1360 Conant Street in Maumee.  There will be candy, food trucks, hay rides, face painting, pumpkin decorating, prizes, and more!

    Waterville Historical Society is hosting a number of free events for fall!

    Improve your reading skills and make a new friend by reading aloud to therapy dogs!  Grades K-5 - Tuesdays Sept. 25 – Oct. 30 from 6:30 – 7:30 pm at the Waterville Library

    The Spirit of Sierah Run- Live, Laugh, Love Every Day 5K is October 20th and will be held at Ice Industries.  The race starts at 3 pm and will have a 5k and kids fun run.  We are encouraging everyone to get into the “Spirit of Sierah: and wear their favorite Halloween costume.  Right after the kids fun run we will have a trick or treating event where the kiddos can go from table to table and get candy and goodies.   Funds raised by this event will be going towards educating Ohio on Sierah’s Law as well as empowering our youth on self-awareness and self-defense.

    Evolving Minds Youth Center at the The First Presbyterian Church of Waterville located at 611 Farnsworth Road is offering FREE TUTORING on Wednesday evenings beginning November 7th Weekly sessions run from 5pm ~ 6pm

    Tutors are current and retired teachers, as well as select Anthony Wayne High School students. A certified teacher will be on site during the sessions to plan and monitor the tutoring.
