The Anthony Wayne Local Schools Board of Education announces the establishment of on-line auctions to sell surplus items no longer needed by the Board. The Board has selected GovDeals (www.govdeals.com ), a unique and state-of-the-art online auction service to conduct periodic online sales of their surplus supplies.
Interested bidders can access the auctions by clicking the link below and following the instructions. The instructions and associated links will allow potential bidders to view photos and descriptions of each item. Item inspections are available by appointment only. To schedule an appointment to inspect an item contact Anthony Wayne Operations at 419-877-1200.
The GovDeals web site clearly spells out the terms and conditions of each item to be auctioned. All items are sold “as-is”, “where-is”, and must be picked up and payment received within the specified time frame.
This online auction system is expected to replace traditional onsite auctions that were held at Anthony Wayne in the past. Online auctions allow bidders convenient and immediate access to view items for auction and allow more citizens to participate. Bidders can obtain surplus items at significant savings, while Anthony Wayne Local Schools is able to maximize revenues for local taxpayers. Potential bidders who may not have a home computer can access the web site at no charge through computers at any of the branches of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library.
